Rachel Ann DeHart

Rachel Ann DeHart trained in Clearwater, FL mainly focusing on classical ballet for most of her training and pre-professional years. She specifically studied the Vaganova and Cuban methods of ballet. At age 17, she accepted a trainee position with the Sarasota Ballet and was later promoted to the Corps de ballet for 2 years. From Sarasota Ballet she joined Ad Deum 2, the second company to Ad Deum Dance Company, a modern company based in Houston, Texas. Here Rachel focused deeply on modern techniques, specifically Graham and Limon. She then joined Open Sky Arts Collective, a modern dance company of missional artists. During her time in Open Sky, she danced as a company member, taught regular ballet and modern company classes, choreographed, led local and national mission trips, became Outreach Coordinator, and even directed the main company and internship program for a time. In July 2021, Rachel will be moving to teach in the Atlanta area and dance with Profectus Dance as a company member.
